PRESS RELEASE:
GROOVEFEST AMERICAN MUSIC FESTIVAL
TO HOLD FIRST RUMMAGE & BAKE SALE
FOR THE 2012 SEASON
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2011
ST. JUDES EPISCOPAL CHURCH
9:00AM – 3:00PM

The Groovefest American Music Festival has not only become a much anticipated yearly annual event, but now so have the rummage sales connected with it.
The Groovefest Rummage Sale began in 2010 as part of the effort of raising much-needed funds that would go directly to paying the artistry who perform at the annual Cedar City event.
The rummage sales’ success has been so overwhelming that organizers decided to continue the sale as an annual event. In fact, since its inception, the rummage sales hold a second fund-raiser in spring each year. And now the addition of a baked goods sale makes it twice as fun!
Besides business and individual sponsorships, this annual event allows residents to feel like they are directly involved with the success of each and every Groovefest.
The 10th annual Groovefest will be a very special one – a “Best Of” the past ten years and will be called “The Groovefest 10th Anniversary Reunion Show” and will be held this year from June 19th through June 24th in historic downtown Cedar City, Utah. Another day had been added as the Groovefest committee is also planning to unveil some extra added fun!
In addition, the 2012 Groovefest will once again be joined by the Cedar City Arts Festival and be presented together on June 22nd and 23rd. This two-day segment of the six-day festival will provide great music and visual arts in the beautiful Cedar City Main Street Park for everyone to enjoy!
Proceeds from this and the consecutive rummage and bake sale planned for next April, will not only supplement the many costs that are required to put on a festival such as Groovefest, but it will create awareness for the annual music and art event.
This year’s 10th anniversary Groovefest American Music Festival will prove to be the best Groovefest yet with its multiple activities and those events that have made the Groovefest American Music Festival what it has already been highly acclaimed for.

The 1st Groovefest Rummage and Bake Sale will be held on December 10th at St. Jude’s Episcopal Church at 70 N. 200 W. in Cedar City, from 9:00AM until 3:00PM.

This is the perfect opportunity to check out some bargains for your Christmas shopping as well as support a great event, so anyone who would like to donate to the cause of making sure that Groovefest number ten is a success, can drop off good, sellable items to Groovacious at 173 N. 100 W. between now and when the sale takes place on Saturday, December 10th.

Go to the Groovefest website at groovefestutah.com where you’ll also be able to find out information about being an advertising sponsor as well as all pertinent information regarding next year’s festival happenings.

Updates can also be viewed on the Groovefest American Music Festival Facebook page.

Groovefest American Music Festival and the Cedar City Arts Festival are committed to present and celebrate all forms of art and artists in a beautiful and unique Cedar City setting for residents and visitors alike.
