A great sign of a thriving community is the number of events that are going on!

The GROOVACIOUS weekly blast!

From the desk of Tim Groove at Groovacious – southern Utah’s record store

MUSIC & ART Related Events CALENDAR for the week of August 5, 2013

Other music and non-music events can be found at www.scenicsouthernutah.com

Hello music fans!

There are always so many things happening in Cedar City and our surrounding area. Sometimes so many that we cannot make it to all of them.

A great sign of a thriving community is how many artistic events there are going on (art, music, and theater). Don’t be afraid to pick and choose what you can do – we certainly can’t do everything!

Because we have so many things to choose from on a daily basis, there is no excuse to just sit home and watch TV. There is also no excuse to not plan something. In other words, just because there are other things going on all the time, don’t let that discourage you. If you have an event you want to do – do it! Plan it! But make sure you let people know about it.

I’ve always said that if you wait until nothing else is happening, then you’ll never plan anything – because there is always going to be something! And if you don’t have an event happening yourself, then please make sure to support the efforts of those who do – at least as much as you can. I mean, just look at all this stuff!

If you are planning a music or art-related event, let me know – I’ll get it on this calendar. Just make sure to let me know before each Monday afternoon.

Thanks SO MUCH for supporting the arts!!
