** In case you haven’t heard, next year’s Groovefest American Music Festival will be the 10th Anniversary Reunion Show! We have booked most of the acts and are still working on the rest. We will also be adding some more interesting events for the festival and it should be quite a big deal. Monday, February 20 though Sunday: London Calling: A Student Presentation of Poetry Opening Reading & Reception in the Gerald R. Sherratt Library on the SUU Campus at 351 W. University Blvd. in Cedar City. Admission is free and open to the public. An evening of poetry readings by the students will take place when the exhibition opens. The readings will be followed by a reception of tea sandwiches and British scones.

Tuesday, February 21, all day: NEW RELEASE DAY AT GROOVACIOUS! Wednesday, February 22, 8:00PM: Open Mic Night at Groovacious! FREE - sign-ups at 7:30; music, spoken word, comedy, dance etc. Participants are selected at random and limited to 2 songs each or about ten minutes. Groovacious is Cedar City’s only record store and one the most unique and complete in the western region and located at 173 North 100 West, Cedar City, Utah 435-867-9800. www.groovacious.com

Thursday, February 23, 7:30PM: The Orchestra of Southern Utah presents Russian Romantic Masterpieces
at the Heritage Center Box Office at 105 N. 100 E. in Cedar City. The concert features
such pieces as Piano Concerto #2 by Rachmaninoff, featuring Kirill Gliadkovsky as guest artist; Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorgsky arranged by Ravel; Polovetsian Dances by Borodin. Admission is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students (ages six and up); groups of six are $30.00 per concert. Purchasing tickets in advance is recommended and the box office is open from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. Friday, February 24, 7:30PM: Parade of Nations: SUU Choral Concert in the Heritage Theater at 105 N. 100 E. in Cedar City. From East to West, every nation has their own sound which can define who they are. The choirs of SUU will explore the sounds of France, Germany, Scotland, Brazil, Venezuela, China, Canada and the United States. Admission is $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for students and children.
