Mike’s Tavern at
90 W. Hoover in Cedar City.
These days D. Bess rocks face by utilizing the best in modern

his seat and his drums, he records and loops the beat and then adds layers of
percussion, guitar, bass and vocals to create the sound of a one-man-band. His
style ranges anywhere from blues to reggae to funk to folk to hip-hop.
Basically any kind of music with really big bass. And that ain't a fish either.
He will blow your freegin' mind.
D. Bess acted as Dave Bess in the mock-rock/reggae band Public Property from 2003-2010. He played the frontman/lead singer of the band in the movies "Public Property: an Iowa Reggae Saga" and "Rasta Corn: Selassie Loves Iowa".
He has written numerous songs recorded on Public Property's 4 studio albums, toured the country from coast to coast, and has recorded with reggae legend Toots Hibbert of Toots and the Maytals.
D. Bess will perform at Mike's in advance of his performance at Groovefest 2013! So, come and check out this one-man-band-extravaganza before the festival!
