HOPE and REPAIR CD Release and listening party at Groovacious May 16

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
HOPE and REPAIR CD Release and listening party
Groovacious, independent record store in Cedar City, Utah
May 16th from 7PM to 9PM
CD’s will be for sale for 10 dollars each
Cedar City Icon Tim Cretsinger is in need of community support by way of HOPE and Repair. In late December, Tim was diagnosed with throat cancer, after having a biopsy on a hazelnut-sized tumor that was found in his throat. In the past few months he has undergone extensive treatments to help rid his body of the cancer. While the initial phase of treatment is over he is not in the clear and still has extensive medical bills that they need help with.
Local musicians have rallied together to create a CD of local music as a way to raise funds for the Tim and his wife Lisa. The CD project was put together by Brock Bentley and Charles Triplett and contains the following songs by the following artists.
Steven Swift – Sleep away (live at Groovacious)
Beans & Wheels – Today
Jason Tyler Burton – On the brink
Marty Warburton Band – Frailroad
Sala Tumanuvao – The storm
Blammity Blam – Home
Home Girls – One voice
Jake Reed – Angels and Demands
Goodbye Nova – For Keeps
Bottled Monkey – Odysseus (live at Groovacious)
Bila Gaana – Nothing
Mud – Hallucination Torreador
Efficiency – Another Excuse
The Pigeons – Some flowers in some water
InDefinite Disorder – Cost of Respect
Aura Surreal – Fight
Wookie Inferno – Zorro
Breyde Bentley featuring carbon toothgrinder – Trading poisons
Appllo’s Army – Rock the night
Tim and Lisa have been a force to be reckoned with since they moved to Cedar City in 2000. Their love of music, and Cedar City, compelled them to move here from Oregon and open Groovacious – the only independent record store in the community to stand the test of time. As the founders of the Groovefest American Music Festival, the Cretsingers created the largest free music festival that exists in Southern Utah today – bringing incredible amounts of revenue to Cedar City every June.
At the release show / listening party each artist that can make it will talk about their song before the audience has a listen. There are a few artists who will play their song live instead of listening to the CD. Please come out for a great night of local music and support a guy who has supported so many of us.
Additionally, the Groovefest Groove Crew would like to point out that the Groovefest American Music Festival is still in need of tax-deductible donations to make sure the festival can even happen this year. Since Tim and Lisa will be incurring so many medical fees, they will be unable to provide any funds up front to cover donations for businesses who have committed to helping with the costs of the week-long, free, festival of music for the community.
