Monday, February 2, 6:30PM: The Southwest Wildlife Foundation Presents: BIRDS OF PREY OF THE WEST at North Elementary at 550 W. 200 N. in Cedar City. This program includes a power point presentation with outstanding photos & video of birds of prey found throughout the western United States. These lively presentations teach about raptors and their habitat in a fun and informal manner, including stories of wildlife rescue and rehabilitation. With live raptors at the program, participants have the opportunity to see and learn about the animals first hand. A question and answer period is included giving the audience the opportunity to actively participate.
While designed to teach wildlife values, respect and conservation, what sets this program apart from other wildlife programs is the presenter, Mr. Martin Tyner, a federally licensed wildlife rehabilitator, educator, master falconer and author; with over forty years presenting wildlife programs. Easily adapting each program to fit the audience gives Mr. Tyner with his friend, a live golden eagle named Scout, a unique ability to engage their audience.
