Hello
Music Friends.
Lisa
from Groovacious/Groovefest saying hello, it’s been awhile.
This
is the revival of The Groovacious Weekly Blast kept by Tim Cretsinger
for over ten years.
There are things to inform you of; new releases,
best sellers, special sales and events.
I have missed Tim’s weekly
blast that tended towards things I was most interested in.
Tim was a
supreme promoter of our community, tirelessly devoted to gathering
people together through music, art and nature and serving
musicians, artists and craftsmen of all types by providing a
welcoming space with opportunity for them to improve and explore. He
did this through Groovefest which began as our store’s birthday
celebration in 1992 and became our music festival when we moved to
Utah in 2000. He did this over many years and upon the many stages
at our record store and elsewhere.
Groovacious no longer has the big
stage as in our previous locations but modifications can be made. As
I feel more energy things will change.
Coming to terms with the huge
loss of my dear Tim has been the biggest challenge of my entire life.
I struggle daily… Claiming some of what he loved and called his
own, his tasks and precious things and expressions of who he was,
what he believed in and lived for has not been easy nor my choice but simply out of the necessity to keep my livelihood intact. It is truly a
miracle that I didn’t loose it all.
Like
most creative endeavors this version of The Groovacious Weekly Blast
will evolve. I will try to be punctual and consistent a policy Tim
& I were adamant about. Thankfully the traditions and style that Tim
created are a solid foundation for me to build upon.
I
miss Tim.
We had plans.
Thank you Tim.
I love you.
