Tuesday, March 1, 7:00PM: TournĂ©es Film Festival in the Sharwan Smith Student Center Theater on the SUU Campus at 351 W. University Blvd. in Cedar City . This week the festival will be premiering "Welcome”. Admission is FREE and open to the public. All films are in French with English subtitles.

Wednesday, March 2, 8:00PM: Open Mic Night at Groovacious! Sign-ups at 7:30, music at 8:00. Participants are selected by random drawing and limited to 2 songs each or about ten minutes. It is always FREE! Groovacious at 173 N. 100 West, Cedar City . www.groovacious.com.

Thursday, March 3, 7:00PM: 50th Anniversary Utah Shakespeare Festival: Shakespeare on Film in the Sharwan Smith Theatre on the SUU Campus at 351 W. University Blvd. in Cedar City . This week will be the showing of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream””, the 1935 version, hosted by USF founder, Fred C. Adams. This film starred Mickey Rooney and was directed by Max Reinhardt. Saturday, March 5, 4:00PM: Martin Tyner, Founder & CEO of the Southwest Wildlife Foundation will be releasing a bald eagle at the Parowan Gap.
As the friends and families of the Utah National Guard unit 222 are preparing for the departure of their unit we felt it would be very appropriate to dedicate this eagle release to all of the men and women of the armed forces who have served our country so courageously and their families, especially the members and the families of the 222.
The bald eagle is the emblem of our nation; our national symbol and anyone who would like to come and watch this beautiful eagle soar back to the wild to join us at the Parowan Gap at 4 pm Saturday March 5th.
The Parowan Gap is located approximately 17 miles north of Cedar City . Go north on the Minersville Highway approximately 15 miles. Turn right toward the Parowan Gap (it’s the only paved road heading east) The Parowan Gap is 2 ½ miles east of the Minersville Highway .
