Every Thursday through August 29, 11:00PM: Cabaret at The Grind Coffeehouse at 19 N. Main St. in Cedar City.

52nd Annual Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City offering matinee performances at 2:00PM and evening performances at 8:00PM in three theaters. The Festival also offers a nightly Greenshow at 7:00PM, backstage tours, seminars, and play orientations. Plays featured this season in repertory are: ‘King John,’ ‘The Tempest,’ Love’s Labour’s Lost,’ Anything Goes,’ ‘Twelve Angry Men,’ & ‘Peter and the Starcatchers’ through September 1. Monday through Saturday, 9:00AM – 5:00PM: Southern Utah Watercolor Society Special Exhibit held at the Frontier Homestead State Park Museum at 635 N. Main St. in Cedar City, through September 1st. Admission is $3.00 per person. 435-586-9290.

Friday, August 16, 10:00AM: Utah Shakespeare Festival: New American Playwright Project in the Auditorium Theatre at300 W. University Blvd. in Cedar City. Admission is $10.00. The featured play will be ‘Twenty Seven’ by Edward Morgan. (based on William Faulkner’s ‘Old Man,’ tells the story of a convict who rescues a young pregnant woman clinging to a tree during the flood of 1927.
