Now – October 19: 52nd Annual Utah Shakespeare Festival, Tuesday through Saturday, offering matinee performances at 2:00PM and evening performances at 7:30PM in two theaters. The Festival also offers backstage tours, seminars, and play orientations. Now - November 9, 1:00PM – 7:00PM: Jim Jones: The San Blas Years at the Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery on the SUU campus at 351 W. University Blvd. in Cedar City. Renowned for his vibrant canvases of the southern Utah and southwest landscape, Jim Jones lived in the Mexican village of San Blas for a period of nine years. This exhibition features paintings depicting life in the atmospheric village. From a street scene capturing a youngster learning the guitar to a series of vivid portraits of local personages, these paintings showcase a rarely seen side of Jones’ beginnings.

Thursday, October 3, 7:30PM:  ORCHESTRA OF SOUTHERN UTAH’s “Soundtrack of Our Lives” at the Heritage Center Theater at 105 N. 100 E. in Cedar City, featuring favorite melodies from twelve movies including the "Overture to the Cowboys" by John Williams and selections from Mozart's "Requiem" as seen in the movie Amadeus with five choirs and the full symphony orchestra. There will also be lobby music by the Village Voices starting at 6:45PM. Friday, October 4, 5:45PM: UTAH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA at the Heritage Center Theater at 105 N. 100 E. in Cedar City Admission is $30.00 for adults and $5.00 for students.
